Bethany Beach Split-Cam Style

I had some fun making pictures with my toy cameras while on vacation in Bethany Beach, Del. It was refreshing not having to worry about pixels & motor drives.

Most of these pictures were made on expired film with a "split-cam,” a plastic film camera that takes double exposure pictures, half a frame at a time. The others were made with a "quad-cam," which takes a series of four pictures on one frame.

Hope you enjoy.

BYU v Tulsa

BYU won their season home opener against Tulsa 49-24. The game was fun to shoot and there was even a 53-minute lightning delay--which the students took the liberty to storm the field. They politely returned to their seats after being told once by the announcer. Only in Provo.

Cross Country

Here are some pictures from the BYU cross country invitational. I wish I had framed the "duck with runners" picture similar to the other pond reflection picutre, but I still like it. Enjoy.

Last Day of Summer

For Labor Day, I was sent out to "capture the essence of summer." I am not sure if succeeded in capturing said essence, but I did have a good time flying around in a helicopter and making pictures above the Jordanelle Reservoir. Draco the dog in his life-preserver was also pretty hilarious.

Patrick Dempsey

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to hang out with Patrick "McDreamy" Dempsey as he raced his Ford Mustang FT and Mazda MX-5 at the Miller MotorSports Park in Tooele, Utah.

Dempsey, one of the stars of Grey's Anatomy, started racing three years ago and this year he's competing in the GrandAm Cup sanctioned by Grand American Road Racing. He's racing with Hyper Sport, a team he co-owns with two other drivers, Joe Foster and Rick Skelton.

Patrick was down to earth and a pleasure to photograph. If only all celebrities were this easy to work with…
