I drove out to Portland a few days before Geekfest to hang out with my good friend Sol Neelman. The first night we hit the bar Slabtown. I was reminded how much I miss non-Utah beer. They also had Guitar Hero playing on a big screen TV. The highlight of the evening was hustling some locals when they bet me a beer that I couldn't beat "Carry Me Home" by The Living End. I enjoyed a delicious Portland Indian Pale Ale.
