This was supposedly a play-off game, but you wouldn't know it from Layton's 42-7 beating of Spanish Fork. Layton dominated the entire game starting with their 69-yard touchdown on the second play of the game. Layton racked up 339 yards of offense in the first half alone. The Lancers were relentless and didn't replace their starters until the final five minutes of the game, allowin Spanish Fork to score their only touchdown, narrowly escaping an embarrassing shut-out.
